80soft (formally named Eighty Dimensional Software) is a Vancouver based gaming company known for it s political simulation games such as President Forever. 80soft was founded in 2000 by Anthony Burgoyne and Raven Kopelman.
The first game produced by 80soft was President 2000, released in 2000. This game was based on the U.S. Presidential Election, 2000 Its sequel, President Forever, followed this game in 2003. This game was based on the upcoming election of the following year, the U.S. Presidential Election, 2004. It has received widespread critical praise [http://www.gametunnel.com/html/reviews-170.html], and was well received by most of their customers and fans of the original President 2000.
A few months later, in 2004, 80soft released Prime Minister Forever, based on the Canadian federal election, 2004. Video game critics and fans of 80soft also approved of this game. Later that year, 80soft release another version of Prime Minister Forever based on the Australian legislative election, 2004 that year. In the first half of 2005, 80soft released yet another version of Prime Minister Forever, this one based on the United Kingdom general election, 2005 that year in the United Kingdom. This one is widely considered to be the best version of Prime Minister Forever to date. Also in 2005, 80soft released Premier Forever, based on the British Columbia general election, 2005 that took place that year.
After releasing Prime Minister Forever- United Kingdom, 80soft announced that they were in development of Congress Forever (based on the U.S. House election, 2006 and U.S. Senate election, 2006 taking place in 2006), Chancellor Forever based on the German elections in 2005, and President 2008, based on the upcoming U.S. Presidential Election, 2008
