Autotote |
Autotote is an automated, computer off-track and/or on-track gambling system for betting on horse racing. It is an integrated system for off-track betting, keeping track of race results and winning tickets, and race simulcasting.
In 2002, former Autotote employee Chris Harn was caught fraudulently cashing so-called test tickets (for system maintenance) for $80,000 and almost stole $3 million on a fraudulent bet on the Breeders Cup.
Luke Weil, the heir to the Autotote fortune, is unflatteringly featured in a documentary called Born Rich about the experience of growing up as the heir to one of the world s greatest fortunes.|
