BackAndLay |
BackAndLay is a United Kingdom-based Internet betting exchange, marketing itself as the 1% commission betting exchange. It was launched in November 2003 by Ian Davies, a former horse racing and sports betting Journalist. BackAndLay benefits from streaming technology, meaning all prices and stakes are constantly updated in real time on the market screens. BackAndLay offers markets on horseracing, football (soccer) and other major sporting and topical events.
BackAndLay s business model is similar to that of the other betting exchanges: It provides a platform where punters can bet with each other, with BackAndLay taking a 1% commission on net profits any punter makes on any market. This enables punters to trade in an environment where there is no bookmaker s markup or over-round , and this results in traded odds that are on average 20% better than a traditional bookmaker would offer.
BackAndLay s 1% commission rate and free API (Application Programming Interface) is gradually enabling it to recruit more users.
