Irish can refer to anyone on the island of Ireland, both North and Republic, so the proposed name wouldn t really do anyway. - 17:12, 15 August 2005 (UTC) *Defer as above. for the matter of that could refer to mayors of irish ethnicity outside of ireland. There have been many such mayors in the U.S. and due to the percieved domination of urban politics by the Irish in some parts of the U.S. during the late 19th and early 20th centuary, this might actually be a significant and useful category, or at least a list. 17:42, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
