Cfengine, or the configuration engine , is a set of tools for administering Unix-like servers.

Developed by Professor Mark Burgess (not the Mark Burgess) at Oslo University College, Cfengine is a Configuration management system that focuses upon a few key areas of basic system administration, and provides a policy-oriented declarative programming language designed to remove if/then/else constructs.
