DrakConf |
drakconf is the command that invokes the Mandrake Control Center or DrakConf which is a computer program written in Perl programming language for the configuration of the GNU/Linux Linux distribution Mandrakelinux. It is part of the so-called drakxtools and is specifically designed for this Linux distribution for running under command-line or X Window System environment. However the source code is available, so anyone capable of modifying the source code could port this application to other distributions, even other operating systems. This tool is a key feature in the Mandrake distro, due to the fact that it puts many configuration tools together in one place (see Categories below), and it is easier for a Newbie to configure his/her system than using the /etc/s text configuration files.
