Extensible Data Format |
: This article is about XDF, the markup language standard. XDF can also mean IBM_Extended_Density_Format, the floppy diskette format.
The Extensible Data Format (XDF) is an Extensible Markup Language standard (consisting of a Document Type Definition and Inheritance (computer science) XML) developed by NASA, meant to be used throughout the scientific disciplines. In many ways it is akin to XSIL, Extensible Scientific Interchange Language. NASA provides two XDF Application Programming Interfaces, in Perl and in Java programming language.
