Forum games are text based multiplayer games played on internet forums.

= Simple forum games =

Many forums have simple text games which are started by a forum member. Examples include word association, hangman, Now Listening to , and variations of photoshop tennis.

= Private messaging forum games =

A variation of PBEM games, these type of games are run by a gamemaster who receives orders from the players. These orders are then processed simultaneously.
