Freelords is a turn based strategic game. It is open source and writen primarily to run under Linux even tho it can run on a number of platforms. As the name suggests it is a clone of Warlords (game series) and most resembles Warlords II but has already begun to diverge from Warlords especially in the area of combat.

It is written in C_plus_plus for Simple DirectMedia Layer and uses the ParaGUI widget set.

It is still very much under development but is sufficiently far advanced to be playable.
