Hongkong Post (香港郵政, , it was known as Royal Hongkong Post before the handover of Hong Kong in 1997.
Its head is Postmaster General. It used to make its income only by postal delivery and the sale of philatelic products. However, in recent years it began to offer Speedpost, issue electronic certificates for e-commerce, and provide bill-payment services.
Post offices of the Hongkong Post are scattered throughout Hong Kong and their mail drop-off boxes are also territory-wide. Before 1997, the boxes were painted red, and was engraved with a Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom. After the transfer of the sovereignty of Hong Kong in 1997, its livery has become green, with the new Hongkong Post logo.
