InvisionFree

InvisionFree, also abbreviated as IF, is a free Internet forum host, established and led by Brandon Kopetzky in late 2002.

=General information=

InvisionFree currently provides users with a free Internet forum or message board for whatever use they wish. A user can visit the site, register, and then have a forum created for them. InvisionFree was formed to eliminate the cost of quality forums.

=Features of InvisionFree forums=

InvisionFree has most standard forum features like editing posts, banning users and uploading files.

=Advertisements=

InvisionFree forums currently contain a Google AdSense banner on each page. Users can remove this by purchasing a premium service. No other types of advertisements are currently used, although some users add their own advertisements if they remove the banner InvisionFree places. The advertisements are sometimes modified aswell as the forum features, for instance, recently the placement on topic pages was adjusted.

=File space usage=

InvisionFree currently sets a limit on how many attachments or uploads a user can make to their forum. This includes files attached by posters on a user s forum and files such as team icons uploaded by the user themselves. This limit can be raised by purchasing a premium service, although limits on the size of the attachments you can upload at any one time would still apply. Normally, a customer may only upload a maximum of 16 MB of files, and the size of individual files is limited to 200 Kilobyte.
