Jeanette Aw

Jeanette Aw (欧萱; consecutively.

Jeanette Aw became a star when she emerged as the champion in a talent search contest organised by the now defunct television network, MediaWorks. With a fresh and youthful look, she brought lots of smiles and laughter to the audience. Jeanette jumped ship to the rival TV station MediaCorp in 2002, fast becoming one of the most radiant young stars in MediaCorp. She is also one of the hot picks for being the future Ah-Jie (elderly sister) in Caldecott Hill too.

Jeanette Aw was further recognized as one of the upcoming young actresses in the long running (125 episode) 2003 drama, Holland Village, in which she portrayed Mo Jing Jing, a mildly retarted but a kind-hearted girl. She also created a sensation in the local media when she, along with her The Champion co stars, Fiona Xie, Felicia Chin and Xiao Qiao, run along Orchard Road in bikinis as part of the show s plot.

Aw s meteoric rise was evident in being nominated for Best Actress in the 2003 and 2004 Star Awards, less than two years after joining Mediacorp. Currently, she films chinese dramas on Mediacorp Channel 8, makes occasional appearences on Channel 5 and endorses companies such as SK jewellery, Watson Intenz, and Pokka Health Drink. While she is not working, Aw likes to swim and dance.

Currently, she is filming a period drama in China, which is set to hit television screens later this year.
