Kaffeine is a full featured media player for UNIX based machines running the KDE (Kool Desktop Environment or just K Desktop Environment). Defaultly, it uses KaffeinePart which is a layer of Xine for the engine.

Kaffeine is a viable alternative to Windows Media Player and Real Player.

The current version is 0.7.1 and it requires KDE 3.4.x and QT 3.4.x.

The current version supports: mms streaming, DVB, DVD, VCD and CD audio.
