= About myself =
I m a 27 year-old male student living in Albany, New York (United States), where I attend the University at Albany. I m pursuing a (belated) bachelor s degree in information science, and a master s degree in library and information science.
== Interests ==
My interests include Technology (e.g., computer programming in Python programming language and ECMAScript, running GNU/Linux, playing with Gadgets), reading (science fiction and fantasy), writing/copy editing, philosophy, psychology, music (futurepop, synth pop, electronic body music, 1980s music), anime, gaming (mostly weird strategy game and/or logic games such as Settlers of Catan, Chrononauts, Lunch Money, and Zendo (game); I also enjoy playing Dance Dance Revolution and Morrowind), and kink (Sadism and Masochism/domination and submission play, but I m hesitant to use the term BDSM ).
== Personal biases ==
I m childfree and an atheism. My morality outlook is simultaneously ethical egoism and non-cognitivism. My overall worldview resembles a blend of David Hume, LaVeyan Satanism (sans magick), and transhumanism. Evolutionary psychology, in my opinion, trumps sociology in explaining the bulk of human behavior.
Politically, I m somewhat difficult to pin down; I m radically left-wing on abortion and population control, left-libertarian on gay rights, right-libertarian on gun control and affirmative action, anarchist with regards to intellectual property , and economically moderate. I once identified as libertarian, but my emphasis on individual freedoms is at right angles to (and sometimes directly opposed to) the now-prevailing currents of libertarian thought; in particular, I am fundamentally Libertarian perspectives on abortion and Libertarian perspectives on intellectual property, whereas today many libertarians are either apathetic or hostile towards these stances. I additionally do not oppose taxation, whereas nearly all libertarians decry taxation as theft .
Wiki-wise, I consider myself a moderate .
