In Computing, Krita is the bitmap graphics editor of the KDE KOffice package.

Krita, formerly known as KImageShop and Krayon (legal matters caused the change of Krayon to Krita), is the painting program and image editor for the KOffice Suite. Krita is designed to be a painting application, instead of a photo editor like The Gimp.

It was released for the first time as a part of KOffice at version 1.4.1, on July 25, 2005.
