Lik Sang |
Lik Sang is a popular distributor of Asian electronics. It is often the first place to look for obscure gaming adapters or controllers. The company also sells imported games.
=History=
Lik Sang was established in 1998 in Hong Kong. It made it s mark by selling modchips for consoles that would allow the user to play import games on their console, as well as devices such as Flash memory that would allow users of Game Boy to download games from the internet and upload them to the device and play like a regular gaming cartridge. After several lawsuits in early 2000 from major companies like Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony Computer Entertainment, it started expanding it s area of expertise by reinventing itself (under a new owner) as a vendor of legitimate, but obscure, accessories that include many things like consumer electronics, games, merchandise and t-shirts. They currently do not sell modchips or Flash memory.
Lik Sang is widely known in geek- and gaming circles. Some even verbing the term, as in I could Lik Sang the controller if I had the money.
