Lp (Unix)

The lp command is used on many Unix-like systems to assign jobs to printer queues.

*The LPRng project provides lp as a simple wrapper to the lpr command. *The Common Unix Printing System uses lp as the primary program for job assignment. *The official Line Printer Daemon protocol does not define an lp command. The lpr command is used instead.
