Moore space

In algebraic topology, Moore space is the name given to a particular topological space. Given an abelian group G and an integer n geq 1, let X be a CW complex such that H_n(X) approx G and ilde{H}_i(X) = 0 for i eq n, where H_n(X) denotes the n -th Singular homology of X and ilde{H}_i(X) is the i th reduced homology group. Then X is a Moore space.
