The picture became popular in early 2004 and was used in countless Photoshop pictures on the aforementioned websites. Originally the true identity of the man pictured was unknown. Recently the owners of Bloggerheads.com tracked down the man pictured.

His true name is Mike Nug Nahrgang, an actor/comedian born and raised in Toronto, Canada.

The picture was taken during the filming of a Canadian sketch-comedy show called The Endless Grind , on which he had a part. Nug and another actor were having a food fight and Nug grabbed the mustard to use in self-defense.
