NIIT is a computer training and software solutions company based in New Delhi, India.

Formerly known as the National Institute Of Information Technology. NIIT was established in 1981 by Rajendra S. Pawar, Vijay K. Thadani, and P. Rajendran. It started off as a computer training institute, and later expanded into software solutions and services.

Its training methodology is very well designed and best in asia. Though it had a tie up with diploma mill - ITT.

NIIT diversified in software services and presently ranks among the top 10 Indian software exporters and has operations in 44 countries. In 2004 the company split in NIIT and NIIT Technologies Ltd. NIIT focuses in training while NIIT Technologies focuses in software development and BPO.

A key feature of NIIT Technologies is its Legacy Maintenance and Modernization Practice. The practice helps the company provide solutions to its clients in maintenance, migration and re-engineering of legacy applications.
