NWS-9 is the Nine Network station in Adelaide, South Australia. Owned and operated by Southern Cross Broadcasting, the station has tried to localise television production in South Australia, with limited success. NWS-9 began broacasting on 5 September,1959.

Popular shows produced in the past at NWS 9 include the variety show Adelaide Tonight , science show The Curiosity Show , The Country and Western Hour , children s show Channel Niners .

Some Adelaide-produced shows today include Here s Humphrey , the high rating Postcards , Out of the Blue , Garden Guru s SA , Building Ideas and Feeling Good. The stations National Nine News is one of the highest rating primetime news broadcasts in Adelaide.
