Netintelligence offers an online on-demand internet security service which delivers a combination of protection features to end users, regardless of how or when they connect to the internet. Founded in 1998, Netintelligence is a UK based company, that started life when several internet security pioneers decided to map the dark side of the web . This involved collecting, assessing and then digitally fingerprinting as many different types of Malware as possible. Malware being defined as software and applications that lterally cause harm e.g. hacking, phreaking and credit card generator tools. Once assessed, the actual malware files were disguarded and a digital fingerprint of each was then added to central threat database.

Today this database, which now contains over 30 million files & urls, forms the heart of the online protection product now offered by the company.It is widely believed that this database is the largest of its type in Europe. A team of human assessors work 24 hours per day 7 days per week trawling the web for new threats. Each week the database is updated with an additional 100,000 entries. Cross referencing all activity with this database, the Company, via its web based platform, offers consumers and businesses constant protection from the threats of the internet whenever or wherever they connect.
