Panda Software is a computer security company founded in 1990 by Pandas CEO, Mikel Urizarbarrena, in the city of Bilbao, Spain. Initially centered on the production of antivirus software, the company has expanded its line of applications to include firewall (networking) solutions, spam (e-mail) and spyware detection applications, cybercrime prevention technology, and other system management and security tools for corporate clients, small to medium-sized businesses, and home users.

Panda recently launched Platinum 2006 Internet Security and Titanium 2006 Antivirus + Antispyware, which provide proactive protection solutions for home users, including enhanced protection against cybercrime, spyware and phishing (online fraud), and detection of WiFi intrusions.

Unique to the world of security software, Panda created the worlds first artificial intelligence-controlled host intrusion prevention system, TruPrevent Technologies, which uses intelligent technology to proactively analyze the behavior of unknown threats, and actively detect and block them without signature file updates.

PC Magazine named Panda Platinum Internet Security 2005 Best Buy in a recent comparative review of anti-spyware products in its November 2005 issue.

The company has been ranked among the 500 fastest growing European companies since 1997. In two years, Panda Software became a market leader in Spain and in 1998, the company secured its position as Europes leading antivirus software developer. In the past year, Panda Software has experienced 1,000% growth in revenues worldwide.

Panda Software, a privately owned company, has clients across 222 countries and offices in 47, including the USA, Germany, China, the United Kingdom, France, Thailand, Greece, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Peru, Bulgaria, Poland, Turkey, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland.
