RTV Pink |
RTV Pink is a TV network based in Serbia with stations in several nearby countries.
Its TV stations in Serbia and Montenegro include: *Pink *Pink Plus *Pink Extra *Pink M (Montenegro) *Pink BH (Bosnia-Hercegovina)
There s also Radio Pink in Belgrade, as well as Pink Plus Package - a digital tv platform.
The controlling company is called RTV Pink International and is owned by one Željko Mitrović, who was previously a member of JUL - the party of Slobodan Miloevi s wife, Mira Markovi. He left the party in September 2000.
From the very beginning TV Pink has offered a light entertaiment program ( opium for the masses ), mostly a compilation of movies, cheap US and Latin soap operas and talk shows. All Pink channels promoted turbo folk music, whose key artist is Ceca, the widow of Arkan - a mafia boss and war profiteer. During Slobodan Miloevi era there were no news or political programs - now TV Pink presents a sensational and often preconceived news service.
The television acquired much of the equipment from the national Radio Television of Serbia TV network without paying for it.
After Slobodan Miloevi era, TV Pink quickly turned into a pro-government (government of Zoran ini) television station and is today one of the nationalwide broadcast licences.
