=Rectifi: The Charity Search Engine=
Rectifi is an online search engine which allows you to search the internet. Unlike any other search engine, any profits it earns goes to charity - all the user needs to do is click the sponsered links.
Rectifi(.org.uk) was set up by Jonny Platt as a successor to GiveAsYouGet . who recently appeared on the BBCs ClickOnline programme to help publicise the site. Not only does rectifi raise money when you search the web, but also when you search EBay, or use its comparison shopping feature to find information and items.
The charities that benefit are picked on a quarterly basis, and have included Voluntary Service Overseas, World Development Movement and Greenpeace. The benefitting charity at the time of writing is Childline. Rectifi also provides information on how to reduce pollution and make a difference to poverty in the developing world at home
