RedOctane

RedOctane was founded in 1999. In August 1999, they started as the world s first online Console game rental service. They now also design and produce dance pads, and other accessories for video games. RedOctane recently produced a video game for the PlayStation 2 originally by Roxor Games arcade games called In The Groove.

They re known for their soft dance pads, the Ignition series. These pads have foam blocks inside them, which can be removed to allow the pad to be folded. They recently came out with the Ignition 3.0 pad,featuring cords that can connect to a PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Xbox, or a Personal computer. Its directional pads are raised.

They recently produced their first metal pad with recessed arrows. It was named the Afterburner, in a pad-naming contest held by RedOctane. The winner(s) got a free copy of In The Groove.

Their first video game product is arcade game.

Their second video game product is an all new rhythm/music game called Guitar Hero. The game consists of 30+ licensed tracks and uses a custom designed guitar peripheral.
