Sabbu |
= What is it =
Sabbu is a program used to time subtitles. Timing means setting start and end times for a piece of text that will appear in a video. For example, when a video has been translated into a different language the result is just text. Before the translation can be shown in a video, it must be timed so that the proper translation appears when the original line is spoken.
= Features =
*Brazillian Portuguese, Spanish, and Japanese translations *Any WAVE file can be used for timing (no restrictions on frequency or channels) *Reads/Writes SSA (SubStation Alpha) and ASS (Advanced Sub Station) formats. *Instant preview of subtitle with all effects *Ability to place subtitles visually *Ability to mute specific channel *Ability to open alternate views of the same wave *Ability to mark key frames from a video on the waveform (useful for scene changes) *Ability to save Workspace (saves information such as currently opened sound, video files and position in the wave) *Ability to format script on save (lines up data columns so it s easier to edit by hand)
