Sean Kennedy

Sean Kennedy (1973—) is a Canada Writer, internet radio and internet tv personality and an outspoken anti-Scientology. Kennedy has written two horror novels, starred in three video series and five long running radio series. Kennedy believes in the free dissemination of media and all of his works can be copied and given away for free under the Creative Commons License. Amongst several other projects, Kennedy currently hosts the daily weekday one-hour news show called Sean Kennedy#NewsReal which is syndicated on numerous Internet radio stations and podcasting sites with thousands of listeners daily.

Kennedy s post-apocalyptic vision of what is our future, where he himself is talking to us in the past, our present, about what his life has become in this dark future. His name, in the future is Independent Librarian Dynamic 104-752-368 Sean Kennedy VI . He has, like many people, to survive either death from age or weakness from aging, had his body reset to a more youthful age at which time your name becomes like that of your namesakes (the II, III, IV, etc.). Other than the financial cost of the procedure, it comes at the cost of the minor sacrifice of some of his dearest and most valued memories of his past, the world s past, and most of all... his beloved wife s name.

His rambling messages broadcast into the past seem to have no purpose until he starts to realize his messages are coming to an end, and then he tells you why he is doing this. He doesn t know if you can do anything about the future, but he tells you to be prepared, be ready, and then finishes with two final messages...

==The Bloodstained Rabbit==

Sean Kennedy s first book, The Bloodstained Rabbit, was originally written when he was 14 years of age. It has been recently rewritten and edited. The story is about a man who rediscovers the lost mystical science dubbed Vicerology .

250 soft cover copies of The Bloodstained Rabbit were released in July 2005. Each copy was signed and enumerate by the author.

==The Scabbed Wings of Abaddon==

Sean Kennedy s second book follows a Canadian family with a special lineage, and relates an afterlife far different than Heaven and Hell, with an alternate plane of existence named for and presided over by the angel Abaddon.

=KULT=

Towards the end of the WhatTheHell! show run, and slightly afterwards, Kennedy started and led the group called KULT (Kennedy s Uber-Leet Terrorists) with a worldwide membership. Started originally as a joke that played on Scientology s origins with L. Ron Hubbard, it also referred to the large numbers people who pay motivational speakers, gurus, and others to tell them things he could and would tell them for free. He figured that if a pulp science fiction author could start what he believes is a cult, he could start an organization that would be the opposite of a cult. There was also the fact that, in Kennedy s opinion, criminals, counterculturists, Hackers, and activists were being lumped in with the terrorists, meanwhile terrorists were being downgraded to criminals, blurring the lines of public opinion. That is why he used the terms Uber-Leet (from Leetspeak) and Terrorists , because that s what he believed those in power would call them.

While leading KULT, Kennedy produced the [http://propaganda.thekult.net/docs/vm.html Virus Manifesto], a codified version of the KULT meme (or infection , as they prefer to call it), and to even further the tongue-in-cheek joke structure of KULT, which is like a cult or religion. In reality, it was just a format for a community to come together and share ideas and news.

After its unexpected popularity, Kennedy spent a great deal of time running the organization as Patient Zero, referring to the meme infecting the group. KULT was originally designed as a love it or leave it proposition, but members started wanting to democratize it, or at least distribute more of the power more evenly. Then an internal dispute caused an exiling of members, that eventually led to a mass exodus of members. This occurred as a backlash after KULT, following Kennedy s lead, mistakenly came to the defence of a member who had been charged with surfing for child pornography, only to find that the member was guilty after all.

== The Black Shakes ==

After working himself to a frazzle he refers to as The Black Shakes , a reference to William Gibson (novelist) s Johnny Mnemonic (where all of the EMF and ELF radiations from all of the omnipresent technology in the world start to cause seizures in certain individuals), it also caused what he referred to as Cyberpsychosis , or being to apprehensive to use the technology that you got The Black Shakes from, in this case his computer, its email, and its messaging capabilities. This made it very difficult to run the large online community, so he passed the torch on to a trusted friend.

==The fall of KULT==

KULT fell about a year after it was started, and two offspring independently organized; [http://www.TheKult.Net TheKult.net](which is currently considering a name change to CounterNet) is where one section of the cult members left to form a more democratic version of KULT. The [http://www.thekult.info KULT Grey Union] (AKA KULT Black Milk and TheKULT.info) is an amalgamation of Kult Members and a sister organization called Black Milk. They were reformed under the same structure as the original KULT but with a new Patient Zero.

Sean Kennedy has nothing to do with any of these organizations.

TheKult.net, and to a lesser extent TheKULT Grey Union, are occasionally humorous fodder for his Internet Radio and TV shows. Kennedy disagrees with how they are run, but in his own words, he admits that he was out to create an organization that would outlast him as a leader. In a strange way, he got what he asked for.
