Senas

Senas is an open source search engine created from scratch in Perl.

Senas was created, and is currently maintained, by Jason Whitehorn as an undergraduate in Computer Science. Originally intended to Index BitTorrents, Senas was reengineered to index the entire Internet. The source code for Senas was released under the GNU GPL in the summer of 2005, making it free software.

The project is hosted at SourceForge, where the complete source code can be downloaded. Jason Whitehorn privately maintains a demonstration of the search engines abilities.

The search engine utilizes a open ranking algorithm based off of Radiographic techniques used in Computer_graphics.
