:: Best Quote Ever The legitimate object of government is to do for a community of people whatever they need to have done, but cannot do at all, or cannot do so well in their separate and individual capacities. In all that people can do for themselves, the government ought not to interfere.

=About me=
I have been a registered Wikipedian since September 27 2004 but have been contributing since May 2004. My main area of interest is spirituality, I practice what I would call a form of Western Europe Pagan Theurgy. I have also been deeply influenced by the Hermetic, Neopagan and Thelema traditions, as well as by many elements of Eastern religions such as Buddhism, Sikhism and Hinduism. I consider myself a Humanitarian and believe strongly in the positive principle of Nonviolent resistance. I am a life-long abstainer from Recreational drug use and Alcoholic beverage, which is both a social statement in terms of the context of drug use in London, where I live, and a personal spiritual discipline. I have experienced many Out-of-body experiences and visionary experiences which have drawn me to my spiritual practice. I am also a sysop on the [http://www.shahmai.org.uk ShahMai Network Wiki]
==Political views==
I am against the indicated, from the charter point of view, it (the Iraq war) was illegal. [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/3661134.stm]
I think Doug Giebel sums it up with the following:
If you support the war in Iraq:
(a) excepting yourself, choose five people from your immediate family and/or from among your best friends whom you would be willing to sacrifice (i.e., kill) in order to depose Saddam Hussein;
(b) tell them personally of your decision. [http://www.counterpunch.org/giebel10262004.html]
Also if you supported the war why not see the documentary [http://www.controlroommovie.com/ Control Room], it offers another perspective to that of the US and UK.
My views are not limited to Britain and America, essentially I oppose any system or person who believes themselves to have greater value than any other person or system. The People s Republic of China s extreme use of the death penalty and their abuse of freedoms and human rights also greatly concerns me, for example. The countries and people mentioned above are by no means a complete list they are just an introduction to my values.
==Positive Action==
I am also involved in positive action against capital punishment and the exploitation of people in poverty as well as the destruction of the environment. Essentially I believe in human rights (as laid down in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights), freedom of speech, tolerance and compassion. I support Amnesty International, Greenpeace, CND and most if not all groups and individuals involved in the peace movement. I also work for a humanitarian organisation in London with a focus on developing democracy.
