Sun Wah Linux is one of the largest companies in China dedicated to providing open-source software products and solutions for Linux-based systems.
Founded in July 2000 in Hong Kong, the company provides a comprehensive range of services relating to Linux system consultation, system integration, network infrastructure, embedded systems, Linux outsourcing, Linux professional training, software and application development. They are dedicated to delivering open-source enterprise commerce, enabling technology to enhance business performance.
In November 2000, Sun Wah Linux set up the affiliate Sun Wah-PearL Linux Training and Development Center which is a joint venture with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Sun Wah PearL and the University jointly developed the first internationally accredited Credit Accumulation Mechanism(CAM) Linux training course in the Asia Pacific Region.
Sun Wah Linux foresees the potential of the Linux market in China. In January 2003, the Sun Wah Hi-Tech System Software Limited (SWHSS), the China division of Sun Wah Linux, was established in Nanjing. The company owns offices in Beijing, Zhuhai, Guangzhou and Shanghai.
