Sylpheed

Sylpheed is an email client and news client based on the GTK library. It offers quick response, easy configuration and an abundance of features. Sylpheed is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License. It stores mails in the MH Message Handling System.

Sylpheed s classic branch focuses on stability. It is maintained by Sylpheed s founder Hiroyuki Yamamoto.

The extended Sylpheed-Claws branch offers a slew of extra features, like scorefile, QuickSearch, ASpell spell checker support, user-defined Actions, Plugins for SpamAssassin, ClamAV anti-virus software, Dillo web browser, and a lot more. The branches resync regularly.

Documentation for Sylpheed is worked on in an additional multilingual project.
