SynFactory is an open source software synthesizer for Microsoft Windows. It is based on the same principles as vintage modular synthesizers. Patches can be built from separate components and connected together with virtual patch cables. Due to the flexibility of the system, the range of sounds that can be created is huge. The synthesizer is always live and there is no separate edit mode. All changes and edits to the patch can be done while the patch is playing. Generated sounds can be stored in .wav format and be used as samples in other programs.
