WAPP

WAPP is an acronym for a set of programs commonly used together to run dynamic Web site :

Microsoft Windows, the operating system;

Apache HTTP Server, the Web server;

PostgreSQL, the DBMS (or database server);

Perl, PHP, and/or Python programming language, scripting languages.

Besides Microsoft Windows, the other programs are all free software.

WAPP is a variation of WAMP with PostgreSQL instead of Mysql , and is the Windows equivalent of LAPP

The acronym has three major uses : *1 - to define a web server infrastructure that provides the services of the software the acronym defines *2 - to define a programming paradigm of developing software that relies on the software the acronym defines *3 - to define a software distribution package that encompasses the software the acronym defines
