Wakaba

Wakaba is a widely-used Imageboard Scripting language, written by Dag Ã?gren (aka !WAHa.06x36). The software is in active development, as opposed to the older english imageboard software Futallaby, which is a translated version of the Futaba script. Wakaba was coded from the ground up in Perl, and uses the MySQL or SQLite database. The largest of the sites to use Wakaba is iichan and the related Wakachan. It has been released into the public domain.

Kareha is a similar program for discussion boards by the same author. It is also written in perl, however, it does not use a database system.
