Mv

The mv command in Unix systems moves a computer file from one place to another, possibly on a different filesystem. The original file is deleted, and the new file may have the same or a different name. This command also acts as a rename if you move it to the same path with a different name.

Examples: mv file1 file_1 renames a file mv File /file moves File to /file mv file ./dir/file moves file to dir/file relative to the current directory
