When purchasing (the right to use) vBulletin, you can decide between two licensing types. They, along with their primary differences, are: *Leased ($85.00): It entitles you to run the software on your server for a period of one (1) year. After this year, you must pay the renewal fee to continue use of the software. *Owned ($160.00): You may run the software for as long as you like. With both license types, you are given access to the Members Area for one (1) year, during which you are free to download any updates. After this year, you must renew your Members Area access at the cost of $30 per year. This is optional and may be done at any time.
Further, there are several other options one might consider: *Branding Free ($120.00): Allows you to legally remove any Jelsoft or vBulletin branding in the software. *Professional Installation ($135.00): A Jelsoft technician will install one instance of the software onto your server. *Professional Upgrade ($135.00): Akin to the Professional Installation option, a Jelsoft technician will update your installation to the latest stable version.
